The epicenter of traditional fare in Guatemala City can be found in the Central Market of the historic center, where a number of food stalls serve daily specials in the produce market. Every Sundayin the centralpark food vendors set up food stands, offering grilledmeats, grilledcorn-on-the-cob or elotes, and mixtas. Which are hotdogs with cooked cabbage, guacamole and your choice of chile sauce. One of the city’s best-loved foods is fiambre, the traditional repast prepared for all saints day on November 1 each year. Fiambre is a salad of sausages known as chorizos and longanizas, mixed with pickled vegetables, different varieties of cheese, olives and sometimes beets.
